Sakura Tokyo is Acca Kappa’s 2019 interpretation of Tokyo cherry-blossom season. It is a soft, clean and powdery floral, using pear and neroli to give cherry blossom some lift before heliotrope, sandalwood and musk make it creamy. It avoids the candy-cherry direction often associated with sakura scents and instead feels airy and quietly decorative.
Scent Profile
The fragrance opens with sweet nashi pear and a small citrusy neroli sparkle. This keeps the first impression light rather than syrupy. Cherry blossom comes through as a delicate floral image rather than a literal fruit note. Freesia, water lily and rose fill out the heart. Freesia can suggest a tea-like freshness, while the rose may take on a slightly soapy, aldehydic edge. The floral center remains gentle and does not become a dense bouquet. The drydown is the richest stage. Heliotrope brings a powdery, sometimes almond-like creaminess, while sandalwood and musk give it a velvety soft finish.
