The opening is the loudest part of Mod Blush. Passionfruit and raspberry make a bright, tart pink-fruit blast, with bergamot zest and pink pepper adding a fizzy sharpness. On some skin the fruit reads almost peach-like; on others, the pepper makes it feel sour or jagged. Magnolia and rose emerge underneath the fruit within the first half hour. The floral effect is powdery, occasionally soapy, rather than dewy or naturalistic. Pear is present as a quiet connective note, keeping the raspberry from becoming too dry. The drydown returns to a familiar Ariana structure of musk, ambroxan and woods. It is clean and airy, but this is also where the perfume divides people: the base can read shampoo-like and polished, or dusty, musty and pencil-shaving-like. The arc is fruit to floral powder to musky woods.
Performance
Mod Blush projects clearly at first but soon becomes lighter and closer to skin. Many reports cluster around five to six hours, with substantial skin variation. It is better suited to warm weather, and a few extra sprays on clothing can help the fruit last.

This is a youthful, overtly feminine daytime fragrance for spring and summer. It works for errands, casual work, shopping or an easy daytime date. The clean powdery base makes it unobtrusive enough for an office, but it is not designed as a dramatic evening scent.
