Essence

Cool Water Game is the 2006 women’s summer flanker by Beatrice Piquet, separate from the men’s watermelon-led Game. It is an apple-lemon fruity floral with exotic fruit, water lily, freesia, musk, cedar, and sandalwood. The scent is cheerful, casual, light, and discontinued, closer to a mid-2000s fruity aquatic than to the original Cool Water Woman.

Scent Profile

The opening is bright apple and lemon with a watery fruit effect. Some wearers describe a quince-like or nutty watery edge that disappears quickly, leaving a clean fruity floral. The heart is built around exotic fruit, water lily, and freesia, so the floral side remains transparent and splashy rather than creamy. Musk, cedar, and sandalwood make the base soft and clean. It stays mostly linear after the opening, with a fresh-shower fruitiness and a light floral-musk finish.

Performance

Performance is the weak point. Longevity is short-to-moderate and projection is close, with several wearers treating it as a summer refresher rather than a long-wearing perfume. Generous application and reapplication fit the scent better than expecting a dense trail.

Wearing Context

Best for hot-weather daytime, beach, errands, casual outdoor wear, and post-shower freshness. It reads youthful, fun, and informal. It is unlikely to feel satisfying in cold weather, formal settings, or situations that require projection.

Comparisons & DNA

Versace Red Jeans is the most common reference, though Cool Water Game is lighter, cleaner, and more watery. It should not be confused with Cool Water Woman or with Cool Water Game for Him, which uses watermelon, grapefruit, verbena, lavender, cassis, and patchouli.

Reception

Reception is mixed but low-stakes. Fans enjoy the inexpensive summer freshness, apple-lemon fruit, and clean feel. Detractors find it weak, generic, or sharp in a bug-spray direction. It is reasonable as a cheap warm-weather nostalgia buy, but not worth collector pricing.

Versions & Reformulation

This is the women’s 2006 Cool Water Game EDT. It is discontinued, and no reformulation is documented. The Game name was used on separate men’s and women’s releases and later seasonal editions, so listings often confuse notes.

Acquisition Notes

Expect resale or old closeout stock in 50 and 100 ml bottles. The pale turquoise rounded bottle with bright pink branding helps identification. Age-related top-note loss is a bigger concern than counterfeits.

Notable Facts & Lore

  • It was marketed as part of a beach-attitude men’s and women’s pair.
  • The women’s scent is apple and water-lily focused, not watermelon-led.
  • The bottle’s swimming-pool blue design is one of its easiest authentication cues.
  • Its appeal is casual summer nostalgia rather than rarity.
