Brompton Immortals is Ex Nihilo’s Harrods floral amber: saffron, pink pepper and Bulgarian rose over vanilla, olibanum, patchouli and white musk. It sits near the Baccarat Rouge 540 saffron-amber universe, but it is warmer, denser, rosier and more overtly floral.

The opening is saffron and pink pepper: metallic, spicy, slightly smoky and immediately radiant. This is the most BR540-like moment, though Brompton feels less airy and more floral even early on. The heart expands into Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang and lily. Rose leads, with the white florals adding volume and a velvety, romantic texture. Saffron remains present through the floral body. The drydown is sweet and resinous: vanilla, olibanum, patchouli and white musk. Fans hear luxury and smoothness; detractors hear a powerful synthetic fixative effect. The final impression is sweet rose-vanilla-musk with incense.
Performance
Brompton Immortals is very strong. It projects through the opening and heart, lasts for many hours on skin, and can persist dramatically on clothing. A light hand is enough; overapplication makes the amberwood-style base oppressive.
