Rose Anonyme is Atelier Cologne’s cool, papery rose-oud filtered through the house’s transparent Cologne Absolue style. Jerome Epinette avoids the syrupy Western rose-oud template, using bergamot, ginger, rose, incense, patchouli, papyrus, benzoin, and a restrained oud accord to create a dry, crisp rose over earthy paper-like woods.

The opening gives a short flash of bergamot and ginger before the rose takes over. The rose is not jammy or romantic; it is cool, soapy, botanical, and slightly desiccated.
