Atelier des Ors — Rose Omeyyade
Essence
Rose Omeyyade is Atelier des Ors founding rose-oud gourmand: jammy Damask rose, raspberry, pink pepper and brown sugar over patchouli, guaiac wood, oud, amber, sandalwood and Peru balsam. It is sweet, but the tart fruit and dry woods keep it from becoming syrupy.
Scent Profile
The opening is lush rose and raspberry with a bright pepper spark. Brown sugar runs through the development, making the rose feel like preserves or liqueur. As the base emerges, patchouli, guaiac wood and oud turn the sweetness drier and more woody. Amber, sandalwood and balsam give a warm, polished finish. The oud is restrained, not medicinal or piercing.
Performance
Strong overall, with a projecting opening and a long woody-rose drydown. The late base can feel raspy or synthetic to some wearers, but the fragrance generally performs better than the lighter Riviera line.
Wearing Context
Best in autumn and winter, dressed-up evenings, dates and confident daytime use in cool weather. It is genuinely unisex, though the jammy rose opening can read feminine before the woods balance it.

Velvet Rose & Oud is the most useful comparison, with Rose Omeyyade feeling more tart, drier and more niche-textured. It also sits near Rose d Arabie and other modern rose-oud gourmands, but is more wearable and less shouty than many in the genre.

Sold as a 100 ml eau de parfum at luxury pricing. Sampling is wise because the genre is crowded and the dry woody base can be skin-dependent.
