Essence
Sheiduna is Cecile Zarokian’s dry amber extrait for Puredistance: a 2016 rose, incense and spice composition that makes an oriental profile feel arid rather than syrupy.
Scent Profile
Lemon, tangerine, geranium, aldehydes and blackcurrant give the opening a lifted, dry contrast before the resinous center arrives. The citrus is quickly absorbed by a more shadowed floral-spice structure. Rose sits with labdanum, benzoin, incense, myrrh and clove in the heart. The profile is smoky and warm but intentionally restrained, using the rose as a dry floral thread rather than a sweet soliflore. Ambergris, vetiver, tonka, vanilla, patchouli and musk make the base deep and polished. A powerful woody-amber material contributes the dry radiance; for sensitive wearers, that material can be overwhelming.
Performance
The 27% extrait is extremely long-lasting, with an above-average but quickly settling halo. It persists on skin well after projection becomes intimate, so modest application is sensible.
Wearing Context
Autumn, winter and evenings are the natural setting for its incense, myrrh, clove and amber character. The dryness keeps it more flexible in transitional weather than a sweet oriental, and the unisex result works best in close social settings.
Comparisons & DNA
Khol de Bahrein is the most frequently cited neighbor, though it is sweeter and more powdery. Vintage Opium is useful for the clove-spice atmosphere, while Soleil de Jeddah occupies a related dry-amber territory. Zarokian’s work on Epic Woman and Tango provides a further reference for rose and amber themes. Sheiduna distinguishes itself by drying those materials out and keeping its incense-rose profile comparatively austere.

The central disagreement is tolerance for the woody-amber effect: admirers find it radiant, while detractors find it synthetic or physically difficult. Versions & Reformulation
Sheiduna remains in its original 2016 composition. An early version was rejected as too heavy, leading to a new formula whose oil level was tuned to 27% before launch.
Acquisition Notes
It is sold as a luxury-tier extrait in standard house sizes. Because both the price and woody-amber sensitivity matter, a skin sample is more useful than a quick blotter test.
