Ysayo is Antoine Lie’s 2025 green aromatic leather for Puredistance: bitter, retro, vetiver-rich and wrapped in a samurai story that partly masks its European green-memory roots.
Scent Profile
The opening is austere and green, built from galbanum, artemisia, chamomile and saffron. Geranium, celery, thyme and jasmine add aromatic-floral tension. The base is the payoff: vetiver, patchouli, leather and labdanum, smooth but rooty, with a near-animalic shadow.
Performance
As a 25% extrait it is expected to be strong and rich, and early descriptions support that, but detailed performance data is still young. Wear modestly until you know how the bitter-green top behaves on skin.
