Essence
Scent Sheer is the pale, musky side of the Costume National Scent family. Released in 2003 by Laurent Bruyere, it turns green tea, apricot, bergamot, jasmine, hibiscus and rose into a clean white-musk skin scent.
Scent Profile
The opening is light tea and citrus with a soft apricot blur. It does not stay fruity for long; the first minutes are more about air and transparency than a vivid top note. The heart is a delicate floral haze. Jasmine, hibiscus and rose give the composition a feminine softness, but they are quickly absorbed into musk and pale amber. The drydown is clean, lightly sweet and close, with vanilla and patchouli adding just enough warmth and floor. Scent Sheer is essentially linear after the first few minutes. Its point is not complexity but a quiet, summery white-musk effect that still carries a trace of the original Scent DNA.
Performance
Projection is soft and intimate. Longevity can be better than expected, with some wearers reporting many hours of close wear, but others find it nearly invisible. Treat it as a private musk veil rather than a projector.
