Essence
Al Oud is a minimalist natural-oud showcase: Kinam/Cambodian, aged Cambodian, and Assam/Indian oud in a dense sprayable attar form.
Scent Profile
The opening is a direct oud impact: medicinal Kinam resin, sour barnyard Hindi funk, smoke, rubber, damp wood, and blue-cheese animalics. Bergamot is only a small lift, not a fresh top note. As it develops, the Cambodian oud becomes rounder and more aromatic, with tobacco-like wood, soft chocolate, patchouli body, and faint coumarin sweetness. Rose, sandalwood, saffron, and spices are supporting lights rather than clear subjects. The drydown is the most wearable phase: Assam/Indian oud brings leather, smoke, hay, dander, and a creamy powdery softness. It remains close to linear because the point is oud itself, not a broad perfume pyramid.
Performance
Strong early projection settles to an intimate aura, with excellent longevity and very persistent fabric wear. The oil-rich formula can stain clothing. One or two sprays is enough. Heat amplifies the challenging funk; cooler weather is more flattering.
Wearing Context
Best for cool weather, quiet evenings, oud study, and layering. It is unisex but socially risky, especially around people unfamiliar with natural Hindi oud. Avoid offices, summer heat, and close spaces unless the audience is oud-literate.

The History of Indian Oud is the closest in-house reference. Russian Oud is more cacao-gourmand, Oud Luwak more coffee-smoke, and Oud Zhen smokier and incense-like. Ajmal Shams and Qadeem provide traditional oud context; Western oud fragrances are a different category.
