Malik Al Taif is Areej Le Dore’s natural rose-oud maximalist: a huge dose of Taif rose oil, saffron, Hindi oud, sandalwood, amber resin, benzoin, and deer musk.
Scent Profile
The opening is not soft jammy rose. It is green, lemony, tart Taif rose sharpened by leathery saffron and a small but noticeable Hindi-oud funk. Some wearers get green olive, rosewater, or polished citrus-cleaner facets before the flower broadens. The middle deepens into the classic rose-saffron-oud structure. Indian rose adds sweetness, oud brings smoky animalic tang, and saffron gives a toasted, rice-like warmth. The composition is traditional in shape but extravagant in material density. The drydown is creamy and resinous: Mysore sandalwood, Siam benzoin, amber, vanilla-like softness, and deer musk. The musk gives a sugared glow, while the oud keeps the base from becoming simply floral-amber.

The catalog entry is the 2018 extrait in 30 ml format. A later attar version exists, but the extrait has no documented reformulation and is discontinued.
